Doug Perkins is a studio guitarist in all popular styles, He is an excellent sight-reader with an exceptional ear, and is skilled in transposition. He is a jazz guitar artist and bandleader. His work has included both cover songs and originals in duo, trio, quartet settings , as well as larger groups with horns and percussion including latin and “50’s swing style” bands. He is and expert solo guitarist performing in pop, classical and latin and jazz styles and is a partner at the Jazz Guitar Society. Raised in Toledo OH, studied guitar with “local legends” Don Heminger and Rodney Stephenson. Taught Guitar from ages 16-18 in two Toledo music stores. Graduated high school as lead guitarist for 50’s rockers “Johnny & The Hurricanes”.
